Smart Video
Direct Alarm offers you the cutting-edge in video technology. No more big, bulky, and confusing DVRs. Now your video can be recorded and stored off-site in our secure storage center for a fraction of the cost of traditional video systems. With off-site video storage you don't have to worry about a thief smashing or stealing your DVR. You can also receive messages from your security system with video clips attached when your alarm is activated or if a door is opened or if a motion sensor is triggered. There are many features available with our new remote video service.
Home Control
Direct Alarm offers you true energy management with lighting and thermostat control. Our lighting system gives you full control to create lighting schemes and schedules. You can even have certain lights automatically turn on when you come in to your home at night or when your alarm is activated. Controllable thermostats can be easily programmed online to save you energy. You may choose to use one of our energy saving schedule templates to help you save money. You can also choose to automatically shut the HVAC system off in the event of a Fire Alarm.
Weather
Conveniences like a 4 day weather forecast, displayed in color, right on your talking touchscreen can help you decide whether you need to put on shorts or bundle up for cold weather before you go outside. Our Smart System also offers a severe weather alert service that will activate a system alert message when hazardous weather conditions are nearby or approaching.
